About Toyohari-style acupuncture
Toyohari is a refinement of the 2,500 year old acupuncture tradition, and is derived from classical Chinese medical knowledge. Its gentle approach, which emphasizes touch, was developed in Japan where acupuncture has been uniquely influenced by its four-hundred year tradition of blind acupuncture practitioners. Today's Japanese acupuncturists (both sighted and blind) continue to review and develop the tradition of Classical Chinese acupuncture in the context of modern clinical experience and the times in which we live.
About Your Acupuncturist
Julie Luker, L. Ac., owner of Jade Blossom Acupuncture, has been studying Oriental Medicine since 2003 and received her Masters from the Academy of Oriental Medicine in Austin. She is licensed by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners as an acupuncturist (license number AC1023), and has obtained the highest certification possible, Diplomate of Oriental Medicine, from the NCCAOM. In addition, she has received certification in Toyohari Japanese Meridian Therapy from the Toyohari Association of North America, of which she is a member. She is committed to the education of each patient, giving them control over their health, and in supporting them in achieving optimal health, in a professional and relaxed environment.
